7^th Laser Hair Removal Appointment!, 11/8/07

Warning to all laser hair removal patients – Never Forget Your Pain Medication. I forgot to apply my numbing cream until 20 minutes before my appointment. I forgot to take an aspirin. I forgot all of my pain minimizing techniques and it was obvious. Usually the only bad part of the laser hair removal is when I’m having my bikini area zapped, but this time the pain started with the first zap on my upper lip. I was very surprised by this because I only use the numbing cream on my bikini area. I don’t know if it was the increase in joules or the fact that I didn’t take an aspirin, but everything was painful!

Other than the increase in pain, the seventh appointment didn’t differ from the rest of the appointments. I shaved the night before. I was red for about an hour, and the next day everything was normal. I really hope I see some results!

Disappointing Results, 1/7/08

Hair removal progress is a little disappointing. My hair shed within two weeks of my appointment. All of the hair on my upper lip didn’t shed, but most of it did. The hair started growing within four weeks of the appointment. It has been eight weeks since my laser hair removal appointment and a lot of hair has grown back in the upper lip and underarm area. The bikini area looks pretty good, but I expected to see better results this far along in my treatment schedule.
